Image Licensing

Kathy King licenses her fine art wildlife, landscape, and nature photographs for editorial, commercial, and small-business use. Self-serve licensing is being finalised; in the meantime every image on this site is available to licence by request, usually answered within two business days. Licences are issued per image and priced by intended use. Every licence carries a standard set of exclusions — no AI training, no NFTs, no resale.

Personal Use

For individual, non-commercial use — desktop wallpaper, personal social media, print at home for your own walls. Not for resale or business promotion.

What every licence excludes

These apply to every tier unless separately negotiated in writing.

No AI/ML training data
Licensee shall not use the licensed image, in whole or in part, as training data for any artificial intelligence or machine learning system.
No NFTs or blockchain tokenization
Licensee shall not mint, tokenize, or otherwise represent the licensed image on any blockchain or distributed ledger.
No resale or sublicensing
The license granted is non-transferable. Licensee may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the licensed image to third parties.
No defamatory, misleading, or unlawful use
Licensee shall not use the licensed image in any context that is defamatory, misleading, libelous, or unlawful.
No political or religious campaigns without prior consent
Licensee shall not use the licensed image in connection with any political campaign, religious institution promotion, or advocacy campaign without prior written consent from the photographer.

How it works

  1. 1. Find the photograph you want in the full gallery of Kathy’s work.
  2. 2. Send an enquiry from that photograph's page or the contact form, describing your intended use.
  3. 3. Receive the high-resolution file with embedded IPTC and XMP rights metadata, plus a certificate of licence recording exactly what was granted. Download links stay live for 72 hours.
